I want to tell you about one of the best if not the best web browser on iOS I have ever used to date. It’s called iCab Mobile. It’s so freaking customisable it’s not funny. I have yet to see a similar Browser on any other platform be it MacOS, Windows, Linux, or Android. I am baffled that not a lot of people knew about it.
That’s about to change however. Reason for this post. I want more people to know about it. I will be telling about its ups and its downs. I won’t leave anything out. If I find a video review about it will embed below. Also will add App Store link to grab it.
~ Short Description ~

Since I couldn’t find any recent videos of the app, I will do my best to talk about as many of its features as I can as it has so many… I will start by the UI. The UI at first looks bog standard, but trust me when I say it’s only the default. Yes, UI elements can be added or removed depends on your preferences..
For example, you can add / remove or even move top and bottom toolbar icons. There are so many one cannot add all of them. Actions to open in other app, share, back n forward, print which are usual ones, there are more specific ones to this app, like, Screen shot, one of most used, it allows you to either grab shots of a full page or visible area. Very useful for me. Others include icons for LastPass, QR Code scanner / generator, form filler and many many many more.
Another feature which makes it a great browser especially on iPads, is the Twin browser feature which allows you to have two browser windows side by side each with its own set of tabs. I mean this browser is so customizable it is out of this world. Oh yeah you can also configure different settings for different users. I mean WoW !
Another feature I love, is the Browser ID one, where you can make it mimic any of the most used browsers out there for compatibility. You can mimic desktop or mobile versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and more…
Even though above videos are kinda old AF, they still give you an idea of the features. I couldn’t find any newer videos. Anyway with that said I will list Pros vs Cons below will links to official site, and App Store to grab it.
Well, it only has one con to be honest, with everything else being a Pro. Its only con to some, is that it’s a Paid app at $1.99. Not too much for the level of customization it has. Plus the fact that this app is being developed by a single person, a lone Ranger if you will. So supporting him for this amazing browser is a given.
